L-Tyrosine Capsules 500 mg - 120 Capsules
The amino acid
L-Tyrosine did not get its name by chance: the Greek tyros means cheese. In 1846, Justus von Liebig first isolated the amino acid from casein, the main protein in milk – and to this day, mature cheese, fish, poultry, soya products, almonds and peanuts are among its richest sources.
What the body uses tyrosine for
Tyrosine is a starting material, not an end product. The body uses it to build an entire range of molecules:
- Dopamine, noradrenaline and adrenaline – the catecholamines
- The thyroid hormones T3 and T4 – both are chemically iodinated tyrosine molecules
- Melanin – the pigment in skin, hair and eyes
Two ingredients. Nothing more.
The ingredient list contains exactly two items: L-Tyrosine and the plant-based capsule shell made from hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. No filler, no anti-caking agent, no flow agent and no colouring.
That is rarer in this product group than you might think. Magnesium salts of fatty acids and silicon dioxide appear in almost every capsule product because they make filling easier. They were not necessary here.
500 mg per capsule, 120 capsules
One capsule provides 500 mg of L-Tyrosine. Anyone wanting a higher daily amount can take two, bringing the amount to 1,000 mg. At one capsule daily, one bottle lasts for four months – equivalent to 14 cents per day.
How to take it
Ideally on an empty stomach, for example before breakfast. The reason is competition: tyrosine shares its transport pathway through the intestinal wall and across the blood-brain barrier with other large neutral amino acids. When taken with a protein-rich meal, it therefore competes with everything arriving at the same time.
Recommended intake
Take 1 to 2 capsules daily, swallowed whole with sufficient liquid, preferably before breakfast. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Ingredients
L-Tyrosine, glazing agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (plant-based capsule shell).
Important information
Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women or for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. If you have a thyroid disorder or are taking medication, seek medical advice before use.
Do not exceed the stated recommended daily intake. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children. Store in a cool, dry and dark place.

L-Tyrosine Capsules 500 mg - 120 Capsules
L-Tyrosine 500 mg – two ingredients, nothing else
The amino acid from which dopamine, adrenaline and thyroid hormones are formed.
500 mg – straightforward and clearly dosed
One capsule provides 500 mg of L-Tyrosine, and two capsules provide 1,000 mg accordingly. The amount is stated per capsule – without an amino-acid blend and without any conversion between capsule content and daily serving.
One starting material, three pathways
Tyrosine is not an end product, but a building block. The body uses it to form dopamine, noradrenaline and adrenaline. The thyroid hormones T3 and T4 are also formed from iodinated tyrosine building blocks, as is melanin, the pigment in skin, hair and eyes. Three very different pathways, one common starting molecule.
Two ingredients. That is the entire list.
L-Tyrosine and a plant-based capsule shell. No magnesium stearate, no silicon dioxide, no rice flour as a filler. These excipients appear in almost every capsule product because they make filling easier – not because they belong in the product. We deliberately do without them.
Best taken on an empty stomach
Tyrosine shares its transport pathway through the intestinal wall and across the blood-brain barrier with other large neutral amino acids. When taken with a protein-rich meal, it therefore competes directly with everything arriving at the same time. Before breakfast is therefore the most practical time.
120 capsules, four months
At one capsule daily, one bottle lasts for four full months – around 14 cents per daily serving. If you prefer 1,000 mg, take two capsules and the bottle lasts for two months.

FAQs
How much L-Tyrosine does one capsule contain?
500 mg. Two capsules accordingly provide 1,000 mg. The ingredient list consists exclusively of L-Tyrosine and the plant-based capsule shell.
What does the body use tyrosine for?
Tyrosine is a starting material for several groups of molecules: for the catecholamines dopamine, noradrenaline and adrenaline; for the thyroid hormones T3 and T4, which are built from iodinated tyrosine building blocks; and for melanin, the pigment in skin, hair and eyes.
Do I need to consume tyrosine at all?
Tyrosine is considered non-essential, or conditionally essential under certain circumstances: the body can produce it from the essential amino acid phenylalanine and also obtains it from protein-rich foods. It is therefore not one of the nine amino acids that must be supplied through the diet.
When is the best time to take the capsule?
Preferably on an empty stomach, for example before breakfast. Tyrosine uses the same transport pathway as other large neutral amino acids; when taken with a protein-rich meal, it competes with them for absorption.
One or two capsules?
One capsule with 500 mg is the standard serving; two capsules provide 1,000 mg. Typical daily amounts in food supplements fall within this range. The recommended daily dose should not be exceeded.
Why are no fillers included?
Because they were not necessary. Anti-caking agents such as magnesium salts of fatty acids or silicon dioxide make machine filling easier and therefore appear in a great many capsule products – even though they contribute nothing to the content. This product has two items on its ingredient list.
Is the product vegan?
Yes. According to the product specification, both the L-Tyrosine and the plant-based HPMC capsule shell are vegan.
How long does one bottle last?
Four months at one capsule daily, or two months at two capsules daily.
Who is this product not suitable for?
Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women or for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. If you have a thyroid disorder or are taking medication, seek medical advice before use – tyrosine is a precursor of thyroid hormones.
