Glutathione Complex with Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) - 60 Capsules
Antioxidants do not work individually, but as a network
The common misconception about antioxidants is to view them as independent individual substances. In reality, they interact: a molecule that captures a free radical is itself oxidised in the process – and must then be restored to its active form by another.
This is precisely the chain reflected in the formulation. Alpha-Lipoic Acid is capable of regenerating oxidised glutathione. Glutathione, in turn, is involved in the regeneration of vitamin C, and vitamin C restores vitamin E to its active form. Coenzyme Q10 works in the same chain at the mitochondrial membrane.
This is why this formula does not provide one substance at a high dose, but five that support one another.
250 mg of reduced L-Glutathione
Glutathione is a tripeptide made from glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine and is found in practically every cell in the body. The form is decisive: reduced L-Glutathione (GSH) is the active variant; oxidised glutathione (GSSG) is not. We use exclusively the reduced form.
250 mg of Alpha-Lipoic Acid
Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a sulphur-containing compound that the body produces itself and that also occurs in small amounts in spinach and broccoli. Its special feature is that it is both water- and fat-soluble and can therefore be used in both cell compartments – most antioxidants are confined to one or the other.
Coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E*
30 mg of Coenzyme Q10 per daily serving. Q10 is located in the inner mitochondrial membrane, where it is part of the respiratory chain.
40 mg alpha-TE (vitamin E) is equivalent to 333% of the nutrient reference value. Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.*
Green tea extract and EGCG
EGCG – epigallocatechin-3-gallate – is quantitatively the dominant catechin in green tea and at the same time the most intensively studied polyphenol of all. Several thousand papers on it can be found in the scientific literature; hardly any plant substance is better documented.
We deliberately do not push the dosage to the limit. Since 2023, EGCG-containing green tea extracts have been regulated throughout the EU because high amounts can place a strain on the liver. This formula contains 150 mg of green tea extract with 22.5 mg of EGCG.
It also provides 10.5 mg of caffeine per daily serving. For context, a cup of brewed green tea provides around 20 to 40 mg of caffeine depending on brewing time – so the daily serving is below that and is unproblematic even in the evening.
Recommended intake
Take 2 capsules daily, swallowed whole with sufficient liquid (for example 200 ml of water). Do not take on an empty stomach. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Glutathione Complex with Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) - 60 Capsules
Antioxidant complex –
a network, not individual substances
250 mg of reduced L-Glutathione, 250 mg of ALA and three more
Antioxidants recycle one another
A molecule that captures a free radical is itself oxidised in the process – and must then be restored by another. Alpha-Lipoic Acid regenerates oxidised glutathione, glutathione is involved in the regeneration of vitamin C, and vitamin C restores vitamin E to its active form. This is why this formula provides five components rather than one at a high dose.
250 mg of reduced L-Glutathione
Glutathione is a tripeptide made from glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine and is found in practically every cell in the body. The form is decisive: reduced glutathione (GSH) is the active variant; oxidised glutathione (GSSG) is not. We use exclusively GSH. With products that state only “glutathione”, this cannot be verified.
Alpha-Lipoic Acid: water- and fat-soluble
Most antioxidants are confined to one compartment – vitamin C works in the aqueous area of the cell and vitamin E in the fat-soluble area. Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) is both and can therefore be used in both. 250 mg per daily serving.
Coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E*
30 mg of Coenzyme Q10 are located where most free radicals are generated in the first place: in the inner mitochondrial membrane, as part of the respiratory chain.
Plus 40 mg alpha-TE of vitamin E, equivalent to 333% NRV. *Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Green tea extract, quantified to the decimal place
22.5 mg of EGCG, 10.5 mg of caffeine
EGCG is the dominant catechin in green tea and one of the best-documented polyphenols of all. We deliberately dose it conservatively: since 2023, EGCG-containing extracts have been regulated throughout the EU because high amounts can place a strain on the liver. And at 10.5 mg, the caffeine content is below that of a cup of brewed green tea – therefore unproblematic even in the evening.

FAQs
Why five components instead of one at a high dose?
Because antioxidants do not work in isolation in the body. Anyone that captures a free radical is itself oxidised in the process and must be restored. Alpha-Lipoic Acid regenerates oxidised glutathione, glutathione is involved in the regeneration of vitamin C, and vitamin C restores vitamin E. The chain works only when all its links are present.
What does “reduced” L-Glutathione mean?
Glutathione occurs in two forms: reduced (GSH) and oxidised (GSSG). Only GSH is the active form. We use exclusively reduced L-Glutathione and state this on the label – with products that state only “glutathione”, this cannot be verified.
What is the difference from your NAC?
Two different approaches. NAC provides N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine, the building block from which the body produces glutathione itself. This complex provides glutathione directly and supplements it with Alpha-Lipoic Acid, which regenerates oxidised glutathione – in other words, supply plus recycling. Anyone wishing to combine both should do so after consulting a doctor.
What makes Alpha-Lipoic Acid special?
It is both water- and fat-soluble. Most antioxidants are confined to one or the other – vitamin C to the aqueous area of the cell, and vitamin E to the fat-soluble area. Alpha-Lipoic Acid can be used in both. The body produces it itself, and it also occurs in small amounts in offal, spinach and broccoli.
How much EGCG and caffeine are included?
Per daily serving of two capsules: 150 mg of green tea extract with 22.5 mg of EGCG and 10.5 mg of caffeine. For comparison, a cup of green tea contains around 20 to 40 mg of caffeine depending on preparation. Stating the EGCG content has been mandatory for green tea extracts since 2023 – not every product on the market does so.
Why not take it on an empty stomach?
This is mandatory for green tea extracts. The reason is that EGCG absorption is considerably higher on an empty stomach. Therefore take the capsules with or after a meal and avoid other products containing green tea on the same day.
Is the product vegan?
Yes – and it is also gluten-free, lactose-free and soya-free. The capsule shell is made from Pullulan, a plant-based polysaccharide.
How long does one bottle last?
30 days. At two capsules daily, 60 capsules last for one full month.
Who is this product not suitable for?
Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women or for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. If you have diabetes or take blood-glucose-lowering or anticoagulant medication, seek medical advice before use.
